Biology & mechanism

A methylated GHRP-6 analog with higher potency. Distinctive for secondary binding at CD36, a scavenger receptor expressed in cardiac tissue, which has driven separate investigation into cardiovascular effects independent of GH release. Marked tachyphylaxis — GH response attenuates with continued exposure.

What the research actually shows

Studied in early human work for GH release and in preclinical cardiac models. No approved indication; efficacy unestablished.

Regulatory status

Not FDA-approved. Prohibited in sport (WADA S2).

Safety signals

Desensitisation with repeated exposure. Cortisol/prolactin effects. Long-term safety uncharacterised.
